Reisdetails van North India....

Hallo allemaal,
Dit reisverslag hadden we 7 juni 2014 al willen plaatsen, zoals jullie gelezen hebben ging dat niet..de pagina had kuren haha..
Zoals jullie in ons vorige verslag hebben kunnen lezen zaten we in Arambol/Goa, zoals gewoonlijk verliep onze 'planning' weer anders dan normaal haha en werd 1 weekje Arambol, bijna een maand.
We hebben er weer een te gekke tijd gehad en veel leuke mensen leren kennen, dit is 1 van de redenen dat we langer zijn gebleven, maaaaaaaar een andere reden dat we langer zijn gebleven is omdat we zeer moeilijk een trein konden boeken om verder te reizen. Dit kwam doordat wifi niet werkte, of er was geen elektriciteit, travel agents gesloten en als klap op de vuurpijl zaten alle treinen vol, omdat er schoolvakanties waren. Na wat bloed zweet en tranen hebben we uiteindelijk een sleeperbus naar Mumbai kunnen boeken.
Afgelopen zaterdagavond om 8 uur zijn we van Mapusa/Goa met de bus naar Mumbai gegaan en kwamen om 12 uur in de middag aan. Eenmaal aangekomen in centraal Mumbai merkten wij al gauw wat voor gigantische stad dit is +- 20 miljoen inwoners. Hier moesten wij op zoek naar een trein naar Varanasi, dit was vrij snel geregeld via een travel agent in een zijstraatje van het centraal station en onze trein zou om 00.10 uur vertrekken, voor een rit van 28 uur. we besloten dus om een dagje sightseeing in Mumbai te doen om te tijd te breken, we hebben van alles gezien zoals the gate of India, huis van Ghandi, tempels enz enz. Eenmaal 's avonds terug op het station bleek onze trein vertraging te hebben tot 1.30 uur, dus nog ff wachten, het station lag vol met mensen. Na wachten en wachten was het tijd om naar het perron te gaan. Lokaal wachtend (liggend op de grond) was er om 1.30 nog geen trein te bekennen, de trein arriveerden pas om 3.30 en vertrok uiteindelijk pas om 4.00. In de trein aangekomen zijn we dan ook meteen gaan slapen. Overdag was het zo ontzettend heet in de trein (43+), dat het flink zweten was voor ons. Eenmaal aangekomen in Varanasi hadden we 31 uur in de trein gez(w)eten, dus waren zeer blij dat we eindelijk gearriveerd waren. Op het treinstation leerden wij al snel een hele vriendelijke riksja driver kennen, die ons een paar budget hostels liet zien vlak langs de Ganges. Na een goede kamer gevonden te hebben waren wij dan ook ZEER blij dat we ons konden douchen. (na 3 dagen flink zweten). haha. Toen we onze 1e wandeling langs de Ganges maakten werd het al snel duidelijk wat voor een zeer indrukwekkende, spirituele en prachtige ervaring dit zou worden. Op 100m lopen zag je zoveel verschillende en uiteenlopende gebeurtenissen van spelende kinderen tot mensen die zichzelf of kleren waren aan het wassen. Maar het meest indrukwekkende dat zich afspeelt langs de Ganges is het ritueel van de crematies (dit gebeurt 24/7 200 tot 300 crematies per dag). Eerst word het lichaam gedoopt in de Ganges door de familie om de 5 elementen van het lichaam te zuiveren. Daarna wordt het lichaam op ceremoniële wijze gecremeerd. Het familielid dat de crematie uitvoert word van te voren geschoren (hoofd en baard), en is gekleed in een wit gewaad. Hetgeen waar ze het vuur mee aanmaken is een vuur (eternal fire) dat al 3500 jaar non stop brand. Ze gebruiken alleen maar natuurlijke producten (geen aansteker, benzine etc gewoon puur natuur voor een zo zuiver mogelijke reïncarnatie). Zoals bij ons een crematie is met veel tranen en verdriet zijn zij blij dat ze de persoon gekend hebben en op deze wijze op deze heilige plek afscheid mogen nemen. Ze komen uit het hele land om in Varanasi aan de Ganges op deze manier gecremeerd te worden. Om dit alles te zien van spelende kinderen tot wassende mensen en het crematie ritueel aan de Ganges was voor ons een zeer onbeschrijfelijke, spirituele, indrukwekkende, mooie en emotionele ervaring met een lach en een traan, maar vooral een nieuwe ervaring die wij nooit meer zullen vergeten.
Elke avond zijn er ceremonies bij de main ghat, dit gaat gepaard met veel muziek, bloemen,kaarsen, dans enz. Dit hebben we dan ook een paar keer bijgewoond, na de ceremonie kun je kaarsjes aansteken en op de Ganges laten meedrijven. Dit hebben we dan ook gedaan voor onszelf en iedereen waar we van houden voor veel geluk, liefde en licht.
We kunnen erover blijven vertellen zo vol zijn we beide van deze mooie ervaring, maar ergens blijft het onbeschrijflijk.
Onze tijd in India begint langzaam op te raken en hebben Varanasi achter ons gelaten. We zijn van Varanasi met de trein naar Delhi gegaan (12 uur), in Delhi hebben we 13 uur gewacht op onze volgende trein naar Pathankot (7uur). Toen we vanmorgen in Pathankot om 4.30 uur uitstapte was het 1e dat ons goeiemorgen zei; een stel gezellige wietplanten, het stond er vol mee hahaha. Vanuit Pathankot hebben we de bus gepakt (4uur) naar Dharamshala (hetthuisfront van de Dalai Lama) waar we nu veilig zijn aangekomen.
Het plaatsje waar we nu zijn is Mcleod ganj (op een hoogte van 5639m) en word ook wel klein Tibet genoemd, het is hier prachtig en zijn omringd door het Himalaya gebergte. We zullen 2 km verder gaan naar het plaatsje Bhagsu.

Lokaal wachtend (liggend op de grond) was er om 1.30 nog geen trein te bekennen, de trein arriveerden pas om 3.30 en vertrok uiteindelijk pas om 4.00. In de trein aangekomen zijn we dan ook meteen gaan slapen. Overdag was het zo ontzettend heet in de trein (43+), dat het flink zweten was voor ons. Eenmaal aangekomen in Varanasi hadden we 31 uur in de trein gez(w)eten, dus waren zeer blij dat we eindelijk gearriveerd waren. Op het treinstation leerden wij al snel een hele vriendelijke riksja driver kennen, die ons een paar budget hostels liet zien vlak langs de Ganges. Na een goede kamer gevonden te hebben waren wij dan ook ZEER blij dat we ons konden douchen. (na 3 dagen flink zweten). haha. Toen we onze 1e wandeling langs de Ganges maakten werd het al snel duidelijk wat voor een zeer indrukwekkende, spirituele en prachtige ervaring dit zou worden. Op 100m lopen zag je zoveel verschillende en uiteenlopende gebeurtenissen van spelende kinderen tot mensen die zichzelf of kleren waren aan het wassen. Maar het meest indrukwekkende dat zich afspeelt langs de Ganges is het ritueel van de crematies (dit gebeurt 24/7 200 tot 300 crematies per dag). Eerst word het lichaam gedoopt in de Ganges door de familie om de 5 elementen van het lichaam te zuiveren. Daarna wordt het lichaam op ceremoniële wijze gecremeerd. Het familielid dat de crematie uitvoert word van te voren geschoren (hoofd en baard), en is gekleed in een wit gewaad. Hetgeen waar ze het vuur mee aanmaken is een vuur (eternal fire) dat al 3500 jaar non stop brand. Ze gebruiken alleen maar natuurlijke producten (geen aansteker, benzine etc gewoon puur natuur voor een zo zuiver mogelijke reïncarnatie). Zoals bij ons een crematie is met veel tranen en verdriet zijn zij blij dat ze de persoon gekend hebben en op deze wijze op deze heilige plek afscheid mogen nemen. Ze komen uit het hele land om in Varanasi aan de Ganges op deze manier gecremeerd te worden. Om dit alles te zien van spelende kinderen tot wassende mensen en het crematie ritueel aan de Ganges was voor ons een zeer onbeschrijfelijke, spirituele, indrukwekkende, mooie en emotionele ervaring met een lach en een traan, maar vooral een nieuwe ervaring die wij nooit meer zullen vergeten.
Elke avond zijn er ceremonies bij de main ghat, dit gaat gepaard met veel muziek, bloemen,kaarsen, dans enz. Dit hebben we dan ook een paar keer bijgewoond, na de ceremonie kun je kaarsjes aansteken en op de Ganges laten meedrijven. Dit hebben we dan ook gedaan voor onszelf en iedereen waar we van houden voor veel geluk, liefde en licht.
We kunnen erover blijven vertellen zo vol zijn we beide van deze mooie ervaring, maar ergens blijft het onbeschrijflijk.
Onze tijd in India begint langzaam op te raken en hebben Varanasi achter ons gelaten. We zijn van Varanasi met de trein naar Delhi gegaan (12 uur), in Delhi hebben we 13 uur gewacht op onze volgende trein naar Pathankot (7uur). Toen we vanmorgen in Pathankot om 4.30 uur uitstapte was het 1e dat ons goeiemorgen zei; een stel gezellige wietplanten, het stond er vol mee hahaha. Vanuit Pathankot hebben we de bus gepakt (4uur) naar Dharamshala (hetthuisfront van de Dalai Lama) waar we nu veilig zijn aangekomen.
Het plaatsje waar we nu zijn is Mcleod ganj (op een hoogte van 5639m) en word ook wel klein Tibet genoemd, het is hier prachtig en zijn omringd door het Himalaya gebergte. We zullen 2 km verder gaan naar het plaatsje Bhagsu.

Reisdetails van North India....

Hallo allemaal,
Dit reisverslag hadden we 7 juni 2014 al willen plaatsen, zoals jullie gelezen hebben ging dat niet..de pagina had kuren haha..
Zoals jullie in ons vorige verslag hebben kunnen lezen zaten we in Arambol/Goa, zoals gewoonlijk verliep onze 'planning' weer anders dan normaal haha en werd 1 weekje Arambol, bijna een maand.
We hebben er weer een te gekke tijd gehad en veel leuke mensen leren kennen, dit is 1 van de redenen dat we langer zijn gebleven, maaaaaaaar een andere reden dat we langer zijn gebleven is omdat we zeer moeilijk een trein konden boeken om verder te reizen. Dit kwam doordat wifi niet werkte, of er was geen elektriciteit, travel agents gesloten en als klap op de vuurpijl zaten alle treinen vol, omdat er schoolvakanties waren. Na wat bloed zweet en tranen hebben we uiteindelijk een sleeperbus naar Mumbai kunnen boeken.
Afgelopen zaterdagavond om 8 uur zijn we van Mapusa/Goa met de bus naar Mumbai gegaan en kwamen om 12 uur in de middag aan. Eenmaal aangekomen in centraal Mumbai merkten wij al gauw wat voor gigantische stad dit is +- 20 miljoen inwoners. Hier moesten wij op zoek naar een trein naar Varanasi, dit was vrij snel geregeld via een travel agent in een zijstraatje van het centraal station en onze trein zou om 00.10 uur vertrekken, voor een rit van 28 uur. we besloten dus om een dagje sightseeing in Mumbai te doen om te tijd te breken, we hebben van alles gezien zoals the gate of India, huis van Ghandi, tempels enz enz. Eenmaal 's avonds terug op het station bleek onze trein vertraging te hebben tot 1.30 uur, dus nog ff wachten, het station lag vol met mensen. Na wachten en wachten was het tijd om naar het perron te gaan. Lokaal wachtend (liggend op de grond) was er om 1.30 nog geen trein te bekennen, de trein arriveerden pas om 3.30 en vertrok uiteindelijk pas om 4.00. In de trein aangekomen zijn we dan ook meteen gaan slapen. Overdag was het zo ontzettend heet in de trein (43+), dat het flink zweten was voor ons. Eenmaal aangekomen in Varanasi hadden we 31 uur in de trein gez(w)eten, dus waren zeer blij dat we eindelijk gearriveerd waren. Op het treinstation leerden wij al snel een hele vriendelijke riksja driver kennen, die ons een paar budget hostels liet zien vlak langs de Ganges. Na een goede kamer gevonden te hebben waren wij dan ook ZEER blij dat we ons konden douchen. (na 3 dagen flink zweten). haha. Toen we onze 1e wandeling langs de Ganges maakten werd het al snel duidelijk wat voor een zeer indrukwekkende, spirituele en prachtige ervaring dit zou worden. Op 100m lopen zag je zoveel verschillende en uiteenlopende gebeurtenissen van spelende kinderen tot mensen die zichzelf of kleren waren aan het wassen. Maar het meest indrukwekkende dat zich afspeelt langs de Ganges is het ritueel van de crematies (dit gebeurt 24/7 200 tot 300 crematies per dag). Eerst word het lichaam gedoopt in de Ganges door de familie om de 5 elementen van het lichaam te zuiveren. Daarna wordt het lichaam op ceremoniële wijze gecremeerd. Het familielid dat de crematie uitvoert word van te voren geschoren (hoofd en baard), en is gekleed in een wit gewaad. Hetgeen waar ze het vuur mee aanmaken is een vuur (eternal fire) dat al 3500 jaar non stop brand. Ze gebruiken alleen maar natuurlijke producten (geen aansteker, benzine etc gewoon puur natuur voor een zo zuiver mogelijke reïncarnatie). Zoals bij ons een crematie is met veel tranen en verdriet zijn zij blij dat ze de persoon gekend hebben en op deze wijze op deze heilige plek afscheid mogen nemen. Ze komen uit het hele land om in Varanasi aan de Ganges op deze manier gecremeerd te worden. Om dit alles te zien van spelende kinderen tot wassende mensen en het crematie ritueel aan de Ganges was voor ons een zeer onbeschrijfelijke, spirituele, indrukwekkende, mooie en emotionele ervaring met een lach en een traan, maar vooral een nieuwe ervaring die wij nooit meer zullen vergeten.
Elke avond zijn er ceremonies bij de main ghat, dit gaat gepaard met veel muziek, bloemen,kaarsen, dans enz. Dit hebben we dan ook een paar keer bijgewoond, na de ceremonie kun je kaarsjes aansteken en op de Ganges laten meedrijven. Dit hebben we dan ook gedaan voor onszelf en iedereen waar we van houden voor veel geluk, liefde en licht.
We kunnen erover blijven vertellen zo vol zijn we beide van deze mooie ervaring, maar ergens blijft het onbeschrijflijk.
Onze tijd in India begint langzaam op te raken en hebben Varanasi achter ons gelaten. We zijn van Varanasi met de trein naar Delhi gegaan (12 uur), in Delhi hebben we 13 uur gewacht op onze volgende trein naar Pathankot (7uur). Toen we vanmorgen in Pathankot om 4.30 uur uitstapte was het 1e dat ons goeiemorgen zei; een stel gezellige wietplanten, het stond er vol mee hahaha. Vanuit Pathankot hebben we de bus gepakt (4uur) naar Dharamshala (hetthuisfront van de Dalai Lama) waar we nu veilig zijn aangekomen.
Het plaatsje waar we nu zijn is Mcleod ganj (op een hoogte van 5639m) en word ook wel klein Tibet genoemd, het is hier prachtig en zijn omringd door het Himalaya gebergte. We zullen 2 km verder gaan naar het plaatsje Bhagsu.

Hier moesten wij op zoek naar een trein naar Varanasi, dit was vrij snel geregeld via een travel agent in een zijstraatje van het centraal station en onze trein zou om 00.10 uur vertrekken, voor een rit van 28 uur. we besloten dus om een dagje sightseeing in Mumbai te doen om te tijd te breken, we hebben van alles gezien zoals the gate of India, huis van Ghandi, tempels enz enz. Eenmaal 's avonds terug op het station bleek onze trein vertraging te hebben tot 1.30 uur, dus nog ff wachten, het station lag vol met mensen. Na wachten en wachten was het tijd om naar het perron te gaan. Lokaal wachtend (liggend op de grond) was er om 1.30 nog geen trein te bekennen, de trein arriveerden pas om 3.30 en vertrok uiteindelijk pas om 4.00. In de trein aangekomen zijn we dan ook meteen gaan slapen. Overdag was het zo ontzettend heet in de trein (43+), dat het flink zweten was voor ons. Eenmaal aangekomen in Varanasi hadden we 31 uur in de trein gez(w)eten, dus waren zeer blij dat we eindelijk gearriveerd waren. Op het treinstation leerden wij al snel een hele vriendelijke riksja driver kennen, die ons een paar budget hostels liet zien vlak langs de Ganges. Na een goede kamer gevonden te hebben waren wij dan ook ZEER blij dat we ons konden douchen. (na 3 dagen flink zweten). haha. Toen we onze 1e wandeling langs de Ganges maakten werd het al snel duidelijk wat voor een zeer indrukwekkende, spirituele en prachtige ervaring dit zou worden. Op 100m lopen zag je zoveel verschillende en uiteenlopende gebeurtenissen van spelende kinderen tot mensen die zichzelf of kleren waren aan het wassen. Maar het meest indrukwekkende dat zich afspeelt langs de Ganges is het ritueel van de crematies (dit gebeurt 24/7 200 tot 300 crematies per dag). Eerst word het lichaam gedoopt in de Ganges door de familie om de 5 elementen van het lichaam te zuiveren. Daarna wordt het lichaam op ceremoniële wijze gecremeerd. Het familielid dat de crematie uitvoert word van te voren geschoren (hoofd en baard), en is gekleed in een wit gewaad. Hetgeen waar ze het vuur mee aanmaken is een vuur (eternal fire) dat al 3500 jaar non stop brand. Ze gebruiken alleen maar natuurlijke producten (geen aansteker, benzine etc gewoon puur natuur voor een zo zuiver mogelijke reïncarnatie). Zoals bij ons een crematie is met veel tranen en verdriet zijn zij blij dat ze de persoon gekend hebben en op deze wijze op deze heilige plek afscheid mogen nemen. Ze komen uit het hele land om in Varanasi aan de Ganges op deze manier gecremeerd te worden. Om dit alles te zien van spelende kinderen tot wassende mensen en het crematie ritueel aan de Ganges was voor ons een zeer onbeschrijfelijke, spirituele, indrukwekkende, mooie en emotionele ervaring met een lach en een traan, maar vooral een nieuwe ervaring die wij nooit meer zullen vergeten.
Elke avond zijn er ceremonies bij de main ghat, dit gaat gepaard met veel muziek, bloemen,kaarsen, dans enz. Dit hebben we dan ook een paar keer bijgewoond, na de ceremonie kun je kaarsjes aansteken en op de Ganges laten meedrijven. Dit hebben we dan ook gedaan voor onszelf en iedereen waar we van houden voor veel geluk, liefde en licht.
We kunnen erover blijven vertellen zo vol zijn we beide van deze mooie ervaring, maar ergens blijft het onbeschrijflijk.
Onze tijd in India begint langzaam op te raken en hebben Varanasi achter ons gelaten. We zijn van Varanasi met de trein naar Delhi gegaan (12 uur), in Delhi hebben we 13 uur gewacht op onze volgende trein naar Pathankot (7uur). Toen we vanmorgen in Pathankot om 4.30 uur uitstapte was het 1e dat ons goeiemorgen zei; een stel gezellige wietplanten, het stond er vol mee hahaha. Vanuit Pathankot hebben we de bus gepakt (4uur) naar Dharamshala (hetthuisfront van de Dalai Lama) waar we nu veilig zijn aangekomen.
Het plaatsje waar we nu zijn is Mcleod ganj (op een hoogte van 5639m) en word ook wel klein Tibet genoemd, het is hier prachtig en zijn omringd door het Himalaya gebergte. We zullen 2 km verder gaan naar het plaatsje Bhagsu.

Hallo allemaal,
Dit reisverslag hadden we 7 juni 2014 al willen plaatsen, zoals jullie gelezen hebben ging dat niet..de pagina had kuren haha..
Zoals jullie in ons vorige verslag hebben kunnen lezen zaten we in Arambol/Goa, zoals gewoonlijk verliep onze 'planning' weer anders dan normaal haha en werd 1 weekje Arambol, bijna een maand.
We hebben er weer een te gekke tijd gehad en veel leuke mensen leren kennen, dit is 1 van de redenen dat we langer zijn gebleven, maaaaaaaar een andere reden dat we langer zijn gebleven is omdat we zeer moeilijk een trein konden boeken om verder te reizen. Dit kwam doordat wifi niet werkte, of er was geen elektriciteit, travel agents gesloten en als klap op de vuurpijl zaten alle treinen vol, omdat er schoolvakanties waren. Na wat bloed zweet en tranen hebben we uiteindelijk een sleeperbus naar Mumbai kunnen boeken.
Afgelopen zaterdagavond om 8 uur zijn we van Mapusa/Goa met de bus naar Mumbai gegaan en kwamen om 12 uur in de middag aan. Eenmaal aangekomen in centraal Mumbai merkten wij al gauw wat voor gigantische stad dit is +- 20 miljoen inwoners. Dit reisverslag hadden we 7 juni 2014 al willen plaatsen, zoals jullie gelezen hebben ging dat niet..de pagina had kuren haha..
Zoals jullie in ons vorige verslag hebben kunnen lezen zaten we in Arambol/Goa, zoals gewoonlijk verliep onze 'planning' weer anders dan normaal haha en werd 1 weekje Arambol, bijna een maand.
We hebben er weer een te gekke tijd gehad en veel leuke mensen leren kennen, dit is 1 van de redenen dat we langer zijn gebleven, maaaaaaaar een andere reden dat we langer zijn gebleven is omdat we zeer moeilijk een trein konden boeken om verder te reizen. Dit kwam doordat wifi niet werkte, of er was geen elektriciteit, travel agents gesloten en als klap op de vuurpijl zaten alle treinen vol, omdat er schoolvakanties waren. Na wat bloed zweet en tranen hebben we uiteindelijk een sleeperbus naar Mumbai kunnen boeken.
Afgelopen zaterdagavond om 8 uur zijn we van Mapusa/Goa met de bus naar Mumbai gegaan en kwamen om 12 uur in de middag aan. Eenmaal aangekomen in centraal Mumbai merkten wij al gauw wat voor gigantische stad dit is +- 20 miljoen inwoners. Hier moesten wij op zoek naar een trein naar Varanasi, dit was vrij snel geregeld via een travel agent in een zijstraatje van het centraal station en onze trein zou om 00.10 uur vertrekken, voor een rit van 28 uur. we besloten dus om een dagje sightseeing in Mumbai te doen om te tijd te breken, we hebben van alles gezien zoals the gate of India, huis van Ghandi, tempels enz enz. Eenmaal 's avonds terug op het station bleek onze trein vertraging te hebben tot 1.30 uur, dus nog ff wachten, het station lag vol met mensen. Na wachten en wachten was het tijd om naar het perron te gaan. Lokaal wachtend (liggend op de grond) was er om 1.30 nog geen trein te bekennen, de trein arriveerden pas om 3.30 en vertrok uiteindelijk pas om 4.00. In de trein aangekomen zijn we dan ook meteen gaan slapen. Overdag was het zo ontzettend heet in de trein (43+), dat het flink zweten was voor ons. Eenmaal aangekomen in Varanasi hadden we 31 uur in de trein gez(w)eten, dus waren zeer blij dat we eindelijk gearriveerd waren. Op het treinstation leerden wij al snel een hele vriendelijke riksja driver kennen, die ons een paar budget hostels liet zien vlak langs de Ganges. Na een goede kamer gevonden te hebben waren wij dan ook ZEER blij dat we ons konden douchen. (na 3 dagen flink zweten). haha. Toen we onze 1e wandeling langs de Ganges maakten werd het al snel duidelijk wat voor een zeer indrukwekkende, spirituele en prachtige ervaring dit zou worden. Op 100m lopen zag je zoveel verschillende en uiteenlopende gebeurtenissen van spelende kinderen tot mensen die zichzelf of kleren waren aan het wassen. Maar het meest indrukwekkende dat zich afspeelt langs de Ganges is het ritueel van de crematies (dit gebeurt 24/7 200 tot 300 crematies per dag). Eerst word het lichaam gedoopt in de Ganges door de familie om de 5 elementen van het lichaam te zuiveren. Daarna wordt het lichaam op ceremoniële wijze gecremeerd. Het familielid dat de crematie uitvoert word van te voren geschoren (hoofd en baard), en is gekleed in een wit gewaad. Hetgeen waar ze het vuur mee aanmaken is een vuur (eternal fire) dat al 3500 jaar non stop brand. Ze gebruiken alleen maar natuurlijke producten (geen aansteker, benzine etc gewoon puur natuur voor een zo zuiver mogelijke reïncarnatie). Zoals bij ons een crematie is met veel tranen en verdriet zijn zij blij dat ze de persoon gekend hebben en op deze wijze op deze heilige plek afscheid mogen nemen. Ze komen uit het hele land om in Varanasi aan de Ganges op deze manier gecremeerd te worden. Om dit alles te zien van spelende kinderen tot wassende mensen en het crematie ritueel aan de Ganges was voor ons een zeer onbeschrijfelijke, spirituele, indrukwekkende, mooie en emotionele ervaring met een lach en een traan, maar vooral een nieuwe ervaring die wij nooit meer zullen vergeten.
Elke avond zijn er ceremonies bij de main ghat, dit gaat gepaard met veel muziek, bloemen,kaarsen, dans enz. Dit hebben we dan ook een paar keer bijgewoond, na de ceremonie kun je kaarsjes aansteken en op de Ganges laten meedrijven. Dit hebben we dan ook gedaan voor onszelf en iedereen waar we van houden voor veel geluk, liefde en licht.
We kunnen erover blijven vertellen zo vol zijn we beide van deze mooie ervaring, maar ergens blijft het onbeschrijflijk.
Onze tijd in India begint langzaam op te raken en hebben Varanasi achter ons gelaten. We zijn van Varanasi met de trein naar Delhi gegaan (12 uur), in Delhi hebben we 13 uur gewacht op onze volgende trein naar Pathankot (7uur). Toen we vanmorgen in Pathankot om 4.30 uur uitstapte was het 1e dat ons goeiemorgen zei; een stel gezellige wietplanten, het stond er vol mee hahaha. Vanuit Pathankot hebben we de bus gepakt (4uur) naar Dharamshala (hetthuisfront van de Dalai Lama) waar we nu veilig zijn aangekomen.
Het plaatsje waar we nu zijn is Mcleod ganj (op een hoogte van 5639m) en word ook wel klein Tibet genoemd, het is hier prachtig en zijn omringd door het Himalaya gebergte. We zullen 2 km verder gaan naar het plaatsje Bhagsu.
